The service
Shikra LLP operates a network of document and utility tools ("Shikra"). The tools generate, verify, and process documents and files at the user's direction. The user provides the input. Shikra composes the output. The output is delivered to the user.
Your content, your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and intended use of every input you submit and every output you generate. Shikra does not vouch for the truthfulness of user-supplied content. Shikra does not certify that the content represents a real transaction, a real person, or a real entity.
By way of example: a salary slip you generate is your assertion about wages paid; a rent receipt is your assertion about rent paid; a GST tax invoice is your assertion about a taxable supply. Shikra ensures the document carries the statutory format. Shikra does not certify that the underlying facts are true. Misuse of generated documents (fabrication, fraud, deception) is your responsibility, not Shikra's.
Shikra Verified scope
The Shikra Verified QR confirms two things and only those two things: that the document was generated through a Shikra-issuing tool, and that it has not been altered since generation. The QR does not certify that the underlying facts (employment, payment, tenancy, supply) are true. Verifier results are advisory; the verifier party (employer, lender, auditor) remains responsible for the substantive verification of facts.
Payment, refunds, and corporate codes
Payment is per-document or per-corporate-code-bundle. Each tool sets its own pricing in its own jurisdiction's currency. Once a document is generated and downloaded, the transaction is complete; refunds are at Shikra's discretion in cases of technical failure preventing document generation. Corporate-code bundles are issued for a specified number of documents; unused credits do not expire within their stated validity window but are not refundable in cash.
Acceptable use
You may use Shikra for any lawful purpose that complies with the applicable jurisdiction's laws on documents, taxation, employment, and identity. You may not use Shikra to fabricate documents that you intend to present as authentic to defraud a counter-party. Shikra retains the right to decline service where misuse is evident.
Disputes and jurisdiction
Each tool's transactions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the tool is incorporated or where the merchant is registered for tax purposes. Disputes related to a specific tool's transactions are heard in the courts of that jurisdiction. Disputes about these network-level terms are heard in the courts of the operator's primary jurisdiction (India).
Changes
We update these terms when the underlying practice changes. Continued use of any Shikra tool after a published update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date is shown below.
